Hell House LLC Origins: The Carmichael Manor Film

What is discovered on their footage is even more disturbing than anything found on the Hell House tapes.A group of cold case investigators stay at the Carmichael Manor. Cognetti’s fourth installment, The Carmichael Manor, along with his previous entries in the franchise, are amongst the top streamed films of all time on Shudder. Stephen Cognetti, the writer-director behind the cult classic horror movie franchise Hell House LLC, has signed with Anonymous Content for representation.

Since Cognetti’s inspirations are mostly works of fiction, it is evident that the Carmichael family massacre is not based on real events. Furthermore, there is also no evidence of an event similar to the Carmichael family murders in Rockland County, New York, where the story takes place. Likewise, Carmichael Manor, where the killings occur, is also not a real place. A real mansion in Scranton, Pennsylvania, serves as the fictional Carmichael Manor in the movie. They are a part of the larger fictional story that furthers the overall mythology and lore of the ‘Hell House LLC’ horror franchise. After his sister’s death, Patrick was likely brainwashed into believing his sister could be brought back through rituals.

Patrick stored the blood-stained dress in his room, and he refused to give any explanation about it. From the recording, it seemed that Patrick was hopeful about bringing Margaret back from the dead. This suggests that he came across people who promised to bring back his sister in exchange for a blood sacrifice. In an interview, director Stephen Cognetti cited author Stephen King’s works as an inspiration behind the movie and the franchise as a whole. Cognetti also named the series ‘Lost‘ as an inspiration while crafting the intricate and deep lore of the ‘Hell House LLC’ franchise.

Hell House LLC Origins: The Carmichael Manor Ending: What Happened to Margot, Rebecca, and Chase?

Rebecca wants to source properties for her company in the area and works remotely while helping Margot pursue her passion. She was nearly kidnapped during a county fair when she was a child but could never identify the culprits, leading to a life-long obsession with unsolved cases. After arriving at the Carmichael Manor, Margort and Rebecca are greeted by Daniel, who looks after the estate.

He could not cope with Margaret’s death and, therefore, started spending most of the time alone in his room. Catherine was frightened when she saw three clown mannequins in his room. Patrick used to work at the Abaddon Hotel, and the owner of the place wanted him to store a few of the hotel’s junk. Catherine was left petrified when she noticed the clothes and mask that Margaret was wearing for the show the morning she died.

Disturbing text messages from Chase drive the two women to flee into the car, but the cult members surround them. Returning to the manor once again, Margot hears Chase calling for her, leaving Rebecca, who is killed by Catherine’s ghost. Margot finds Chase’s eyeless corpse, before being stalked by the clown, who corners and attacks her. Patrick is identified as the clown and the one who tried to abduct Margot as a child.

He added that it was not a suicide but simply crossing over to the other side, and he, too, was supposed to be there. Or, possibly, that was the night he joined the cult, and he felt more clear about his intentions. The mass suicide was a cult ritual, and the murders at the Carmichael Manor can be considered its aftermath. Patrick was sentimental in the last footage that was recorded on Catherine’s camera. He had submitted himself to the higher power, and he sacrificed his entire family to please Satan. We also learn that Patrick was the murderer, but he was controlled by an evil force, and an entire cult was behind the incident.

The amateur detective was determined to solve every possible cold case and was assisted by her girlfriend, Rebecca. She was not another keyboard warrior; Margot believed in going to the locations of the crime while solving the cases. Margot contacted Donald, the person looking after the house currently, and convinced the board to allow her to stay for five days at the ominous manor.

The owner of the Abaddon Hotel, Andrew Tully, and several other cult followers committed suicide together. As far as Tully’s history goes, he lived in Arkansas with his family during the 1960s, and he was said to be a deeply religious man. It is said that he traveled to West Virginia and met Thomas Rollins and Freddy Perkins. Rollins and Perkins ran a gaming stand known as “Down a Clown” before they moved to Abaddon, New York. It is believed that the Satanic cult started at a fair in West Virginia, between Tully, Rollins, and Perkins. The hotel was believed to be a cover story for the cult practices, and locals were hired to work, and Patrick Carmichael was one of them.

However, things clearly did not go as planned as the Carmichael family was murdered, presumably by Patrick, whose body was never discovered. In 2021, amateur paranormal investigator Margot Bentley decided to solve the cold case. She arrives in the small town to spend five days at the supposedly haunted mansion with her girlfriend, Rebecca Vickers.

They find a hidden compartment in a clock from the hotel and send a film to be developed that shows that the Carmichaels used to visit the hotel or had some ties to it. At this point, we are guessing that they might have been the owners of it or were a part of its clientele in its early days. Additionally, a clock and the clowns that are in the Carmichael manor were also in the hotel many years ago. The likes of Ringu were well attuned to the uncanny intrusion of the moving image, and one set piece here – in which Rebecca’s laptop is invaded mid-presentation – is a fine digital-era update on that.

We are not sure in which capacity he was employed, but that was the connection between the manor and the hotel. After Margaret’s death, Pat had become depressed and was losing touch with reality. He had brought back Margaret’s bloodstained dress with him and insisted that it not be thrown away. The clowns and the trunks in the attic were from his employers, meaning the Abbadon hotel, and they had asked Pat to store them for him. Pat says that someone told him that they could bring back Margaret from the dead. Catherine also finds a song that tells her to stay with someone, leave the place, and never come back.

When Rebecca noticed a secret chamber in the German clock, she opened it and found pieces that perhaps had never been taken out since the fire. Rebecca pulled out a pendant, a film canister, and a bunch of letters and notes stacked together. While it was expected that the footage would be of the Abaddon Hotel, it was surprisingly a collection of all the videos recorded by Catherine Carmichael, one of the murder victims.

During The Carmichael Manor‘s ending, Margot receives a text from Chase saying that he is back at the mansion. He mentioned meeting new friends he wanted to introduce Rebecca and Margot to. Margot asked him and his friends to enter the room, and suddenly the door opened. Margot received another text from Chase stating that his friends were already in the room. Rebecca panicked, and she rushed out and got into the car parked outside the mansion.

He begged the clown to forgive him and allow him to leave, but there was no escaping from the clowns. After waiting for Chase to return the entire morning, Rebecca and Margot decided to leave the mansion, but their car was out of order. Margot suggested they walk to the city since that was the only way they could make it out of the hellish place. They started to walk through the woods, but soon, they came across strange objects that suggested ritualistic sacrifices had taken place at the estate. They also came across a trailer and a hearse randomly parked in the woods.

The film depicts a documentary using found footage recovered from filmmaker Margot Bentley, her girlfriend Rebecca Vickers, and brother Chase Bentley. The three all died whilst spending four nights investigating Carmichael Manor, a remote house in Rockland County, New York, mentioned to be one town over from the Abaddon Hotel. The recovered footage was edited together by Margot’s friend Bradley Moynahan, who provides commentary alongside journalist Alicia Cavalini. The film’s narrative provides connections to previous films and the franchise’s lore involving the hotel and cult leader Andrew Tully.

When Margot and Rebecca visit the town, Chase is left alone and experiences disturbing visions. On the other hand, Margot steals some memorabilia from the abandoned Abaddon Hotel in the nearby town, as Patrick used to work at the hotel. Later, Rebecca’s meeting with her boss is disrupted by strange occurrences, freaking her out.

In the present, Rebecca’s presentation to a real estate partner is disrupted by Catherine’s ghost. Though Margot agrees to leave the manor in the morning, Chase disappears over night, leaving his possessions behind. Footage reveals Chase was approached in his bedroom by one of the clowns, who pursued and killed him. An attempt to walk to the nearest town through the surrounding woodland is thwarted by members of the cult, forcing the two to flee back to the manor.

Hell House LLC Origins Ending, Explained: Who Killed the Carmichael Family?

Rebecca recognizes a grandfather clock from the hotel, finding film reels, letters, and a cross pendant in a hidden compartment. Chase is frightened by the clowns and a masked woman, convincing Margot and Rebecca that the manor is actually haunted. Born and raised in Pennsylvania, Cognetti studied film at Temple University in Philadelphia. Going forward, he aspires to continue telling stories in the Hell House LLC world while generating new concepts outside the found-footage space.

Patrick began speaking about revving Margaret, which freaked out Catherine. Rebecca, who is already scared by the strange occurrences, tries to convince Margot to leave the mansion, leading to an argument between the two. Eventually, Rebecca and Margot leave the mansion only for further terrifying incidents to follow them.

The Carmichael family massacre is one of the key plot points of the story and remains a mystery for most of the narrative. While it is evident that the Carmichael family’s murder is the haunting factor at the mansion, Margot and Rebecca attempt to solve the cold case only to be led to their demise. However, in their investigation, Margot comes extremely close to finding the truth about the Carmichael family. As the narrative progresses, viewers learn that Patrick was part of a Satanic cult at the Abaddon Hotel.

Margot receives a message from Chase saying he is back and has met new friends. However, it turns out to be a diversion tactic, as Chase has already been killed. In the final moments, it is revealed that Margot was connected to the clowns, who were a part of the Satanic cult started by Andrew Tully at the Abaddon Hotel. The clowns were the ones who had tried to kidnap Margot as a child, making her death at the Carmichael Manor even more tragic. The franchise kicked off with 2015’s Hell House LLC, which quickly gained a following as one of the best of the found-footage space. The film follows a documentary crew investigating a haunted house attraction called “Abaddon Hotel,” where a tragedy occurred during its opening night.

A group of cold case investigators stay at the Carmichael Manor, site of the grisly and unsolved murders of the Carmichael family back in the eighties. What is discovered on their footage is even more disturbing than anything found on the Hell House tapes. Rebecca speaks with Margot about Chase, as the latter has been dealing with mental health issues. However, Margot insists on having Chase around as she promised their mother to look after him. While Margot, Rebecca, and Chase explore the haunted house, they discover a trio of clown mannequins in the attic.

Margot later found Chase in his room—his eyes were gouged out, and blood dripped from his lips. Evil souls possessed the clown mannequins, and they returned to the Carmichael Manor to murder Margot and Rebecca. There is a reason why the storeroom was locked, and the deaths of the amateur detective and her partner explain why some things are better left untouched. The mockumentary structure splices in the Carmichaels’ own home-video footage, which eerily prefigures events unfolding around the three film-makers. But after the slaughter at the manor, both men disappeared, never to be seen again, into the surrounding snowy woods.

Margot and Rebecca are joined by Chase, who has a history of psychosis, drawn to help Margot following another episode. They find a locked storage room full of paraphernalia from the funfair, including three clown mannequins. It is entirely possible that Andrew Tully was not the killer of his daughter and had been wrongfully accused.

However, things did not go as planned, and it was Patrick who, under the influence of the evil forces, killed his own family. In the film’s final scene, archive footage shows Patrick dressing up as the clown, confirming that he was indeed behind the murders of Archie, Arthur, and Catherine. As a result, Patrick’s story is directly connected to the tragic and eerie events at Abaddon Hotel.

The film, shot as a documentary, follows a group of Halloween haunted house creators as they prepare for the 2009 opening of their popular haunted attraction Hell House. Internet sleuths travel to Carmichael Manor in Rockland County, NY - site of the 1989 Carmichael family murders. They find a terror that's lurked in the shadows long before Hell House LLC. Learning artifacts from the hotel are being exhibited at a local antique store, Margot and Rebecca investigate.

However, Margot and Rebecca’s car breaks down, forcing them to travel on foot across the dense woods that surround the mansion. While traversing the woods, Margot and Rebecca witness a cult’s ritual and are attacked by the clowns, forcing them to return to the mansion. Margot and Rebecca lock themselves inside the mansion, where the clowns further torment them. Meanwhile, footage filmed by Catherine reveals Patrick was depressed after Margaret’s death. He soon started acting weird and brought home the mannequins from the Abaddon Hotel, where he worked.

The only explanation for Arthur’s missing body must be a supernatural factor, or possibly his body was used for a ritual. A year later, a reporter named Tom Wheeler had gone to the house to cover the story but had been immediately spooked by the noises and the obvious signs of paranormal activity in the house. Even after decades, interest in the house has never really died down, and people continue to wonder about what really happened there, including whether it is haunted or not. People outside the family were never given permission to get into the house for long periods of time, but Margot Bentley managed the impossible. She went there with her brother, Chase, and her girlfriend, Rebecca Vickers. Of the three Carmichael children, Margaret was the oldest, Patrick was the middle child, and Catherine, the youngest, wanted to be a filmmaker and used to keep shooting around the house.

Material Design: What is it and How To Get Started +Resources

material material design

According to the best practices in Material Design, you should leave space between icons equal to 2X your icon size. For a standard 24×24 px icon, the whitespace should be 48x48px. If you have to make complex static icons, make them face-forward and skip hard-to-make shapes. Static icons are not recommended to appear as 3D shapes or digital art. But the variety of screen sizes and resolutions has created a problem – icon legibility.

Back in 2014, mobile browsing gained serious traction, and it was clear that the number of mobile users would surpass the number of desktop users. Material Theme EditorIt’s no secret that designers like to experiment with design choices. Sometimes you just don’t know how something is going to look until you try it, and then try it again (and ok, maybe one more time) in a different shade of blue or with even more white space. But making separate style adjustments to individual design elements can be tedious and inefficient.

In May 2018, Google released a revised version to remedy a major problem – the original guidelines were restrictive, emphasizing function over style. Because apps created in line with these looked alike, many app makers disliked Material Design. Google had to balance Material Design’s consistency with the capacity for differentiation – to grant designers the flexibility to adapt it to brand needs. Version 2 features not only new guidelines but also a tool suite (including new icon packs and a Material Theme editor) you can use to customize your designs. Therefore, you can fine-tune aesthetics to suit your organization’s brand presence while you build on the foundation of timeless natural laws.

Intro to Material Web Components

Motion design doesn’t have anything to do with animation for the sake of animation. Like with everything else with Material Design, it’s meant to make the design more intentional and the user experience more intuitive. The overall goal of Material Design was to enable designers to quickly build apps that were responsive, usable, and scalable. In MWC, tokens are CSS custom properties that can be used to style components. The latest version, Material 3, enables personal, adaptive, and expressive experiences – from dynamic color and enhanced accessibility, to foundations for large screen layouts and design tokens. The world's best product teams trust MUI to deliver an unrivaled experience for both developers and users.

As a result, we might end up with 2 primary colors, instead of one. For a design system – and any pattern, in general, is crucial to have a specific checklist of requirements, in order to be qualified as such. Below, we will show you some principles you need to apply in your design, so it can be regarded as “Material”. Even as a coder or content creator, it will help better your understanding of the designers’ perspectives. For instance, the color section is what a designer needs to know to play with colors while sticking to the Material approach.

Designers optimize users’ experience with 3D effects, realistic lighting and animation features in immersive, platform-consistent GUIs. Material ThemingOne of the most common frustrations faced by product teams is having to choose between building beautiful and building fast. But that’s where Material’s new killer feature comes in—Material Theming lets anyone systematically express their unique style across a product. When you make just a few decisions about color and typography, for example, it’s simple to apply the direction consistently throughout the environment. #MaterialTheming means that you and your team can use the same tried-and-true code for Material buttons, bottom sheets, and navigation patterns, but tailor and tweak it to fit your brand.

Build your own design system using the sophisticated theming features. Colors also play an essential role in your Material User Interface. Whether you use them in the background, extract them from your images (with a color picker tool), or use font colors, every single nuance has its unique purpose. We always recommend learning how to use the Color Theory before you conceptualize your Material Design vision. Google knows that the success of Material relies on the quality of resources provided to learn this system. Luckily, you have plenty of quality resources to learn Material.

Therefore, material design is simply a design system by Google. The second area of focus on processes involves employing consistent, standardized methodologies to quantify the real impact of building materials on global systems. Two great examples of these standardized processes are life cycle assessments (ISO 14040) and environmental product declarations (ISO 14025).

McGee noted that she’s been loving all of the vintage elements coming back into popularity, including in her collection with Kohler, proving that these elements have staying power and will continue to be beloved. This was an important reason in creation of Material design that there were many design systems specially, design systems internal to various companies that no one else could use. Google made Material design for making design system accessible to everyone. This open approach has contributed to widespread adoption of Material design.

Secondary colors are a great choice for progress bars, highlighting texts, etc. There should be a direct correlation between primary colors and secondary colors. Orchard House HABS HAER HALS

alcott house

On May 23, 1860, the thirtieth wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Alcott, eldest daughter Anna married John Bridge Pratt beneath an arbor in this room. Years later, Louisa recalled this first family wedding and described it in Little Women as the marriage of "Meg March" and "John Brooke." Located in Concord, Massachusetts (within an hour of Boston) the house opened its doors to the public in 1911, some twenty-three years after the deaths of Louisa May and her father, the noted philosopher and educator Amos Bronson Alcott. Though Little Women may be the primary draw to Orchard House, the property also showcases Bronson’s work as a transcendentalist and education reformer. Any money the Alcott family did have went to fund Bronson’s private schools, which Turnquist says were about a century ahead of their time.

Early life

With her often turbulent emotions, active imagination, and serious pre-occupation with her family's financial welfare, a haven into which she could escape to find the solitude and freedom to write was indispensable. When the family first moved into Orchard House, Louisa's father not only built a bookcase cupboard for her, but the half-moon writing desk between the two front windows as well. It was at this desk in 1868 that Louisa wrote Little Women -- a book that would change the course of American literature as well as the Alcotts' lives.

In popular culture

Among these are A Long Fatal Love Chase and Pauline's Passion and Punishment.[28] The protagonists of these books, like those of Collins and Braddon (who also included feminist characters in their writings), are strong, smart, and determined. She also wrote stories for children and she did not return to writing for adults after her children’s stories became popular. Alcott also wrote the novelette A Modern Mephistopheles (1877), which was published anonymously and then believed to be the work of Julian Hawthorne,[29] and the semi-autobiographical novel Work (1873). The Alcotts remained in Orchard House until 1877, when Bronson sold it to William Torrey Harris, a fellow philosopher, educator, and co-founder of the Concord School of Philosophy.

Rather, she says they were “genteel poor,” meaning that although the family didn’t have money themselves, they did have wealthy relatives who could give them hand-me-downs and access to other resources. For fans of any adaptation of Little Women, a visit to Orchard House is almost like coming home or checking in on an old friend. Though she did not move into Orchard House until she was in her 20s, Alcott spent a great deal of time in her bedchamber, particularly after she returned to Concord in 1862, seriously ill after serving as a nurse in the Civil War.

Poverty made it necessary for Alcott to go to work at an early age as a teacher, seamstress, governess, domestic helper, and writer. Her sisters also supported the family, working as seamstresses, while their mother took on social work among the Irish immigrants. Published in 1868, Little Women is set in the Alcott family home, Orchard House, in Concord, Massachusetts, and is loosely based on Alcott's childhood experiences with her three sisters, Abigail May Alcott Nieriker, Elizabeth Sewall Alcott, and Anna Alcott Pratt. The novel was well-received at the time and is still popular today among both children and adults. In 1868, when Louisa was 35 years old, her publisher, Thomas Niles, asked her to write "a girls' story."  The 492 pages of Little Women, Part I were dashed off within three months at the desk Louisa's father built for her in her Orchard House bedchamber.

We then wind through the dining room and modest parlor, where the March family entertained their esteemed neighbors, including Ralph Waldo Emerson (who was an important mentor for Louisa) and Henry David Thoreau, and where Anna’s wedding to John Pratt took place. Mr. March, the family patriarch, isn’t quite the dreamer as was Amos Bronson Alcott. His ideas were lofty and social views incredibly progressive, but he struggled to make a living for the family. Restless, quick-tempered, and tomboyish, Jo is an aspiring writer and the family’s creative ringleader, much as Louisa was. Roadtrippers helps you find the most epic destinations and detours—from roadside attractions to natural wonders and beyond.

Definitely a 5 stars Facility and Staff, everyone from the Administrative Office, Social Worker, Nurses, LVNs, CNAs are very professional, friendly and caring towards not only their patients but as well to the visiting family members. I would like to specially thank Everyone that took great and compassionate care of our mother while staying there. Alcott Rehabilitation Hospital recognizes the unique needs of our patients and provides a secure environment to meet both their social and clinical needs while still promoting independence. Alcott Rehabilitation Hospital is a skilled nursing facility located in the heart of Los Angeles, California. A dedicated team of professionals is ready to provide an array of rehabilitation services to help our residents regain their independence and return to their homes.

Orchard House Tour

Timed-Entry Admission takes less than five minutes to reserve, and all tickets are transferrable to a future date should your plans change. The visit experience lasts approximately 45 minutes, and is currently comprised of a closed-captioned informational video followed by a guided tour. Orchard House is only shown by guided tour as the rooms and artifacts take on enhanced significance through your personal interactions with our Staff and other visitors.

Louisa May Alcott’s Orchard House is seeing an influx in visitors—but there’s more to the home than ‘Little Women’

Due to the inability to predict how animals will react to strangers, especially within the small spaces of our rooms, and given the fragile nature of our collection, we do not allow pets inside our historic buildings (exceptions are made for service animals). As a private, not-for-profit historic site dedicated to sharing the significant legacy of the Alcott family with the public, admission is charged to fund the work of caring for the irreplaceable collection of Alcott artifacts and preserving Orchard House to the highest possible standards. A brief listing of our admission rates can be found here, while a detailed listing is available on our Timed-Entry Admission site. (We do offer a wide range of discounts to make Orchard House affordable to families, active duty military and veterans, teachers, nurses, and members of "Friends of the Alcotts.")  Our gardens and grounds, as well as our Museum Store, are always free and open to all.

The Alcott Center is a non-profit organization that has provided community mental health services since 1979, offering mental health and supportive housing services to adults with low & no income across LA County. We remove barriers to access mental health services, including support for a variety of interconnected challenges for those that are not able to afford them. Unlike other historic house tours where rooms, especially bedrooms, are roped off, all the rooms can be entered, which gives a greater sense of intimacy. To help support her family, Louisa began her writing career by gothic thrillers (then called “blood and thunder tales”) under various pseudonyms.

On the ground floor, visitors are guided through May’s painting studio, where the original cast of her foot is on display. Next to the family’s modest kitchen is a dining room that doubles as a gallery for many of May’s paintings, including one that was exhibited at the prestigious Paris Salon in 1877. Though Louisa’s sister Lizzie died shortly before the Alcotts moved into Orchard House, her presence looms large in the home; her melodeon still sits in the dining room next to the back staircase.

Other original features include the soapstone sink that was purchased by Louisa, a variety of kitchen implements and cooking tools, and the hutch table. The Alcotts were also fortunate to have running water installed in the mid-1870s, but their well is still visible via a trap door in the Kitchen floor. May Alcott even commandeered her mother's bread board to practice the art of pyrography on it. She was cared for by Anna Alcott Pratt, then reunited with her father in Europe and lived abroad until her death in 1976. Little Women was well-received, with critics and audiences finding it to be a fresh, natural representation of daily life suitable for many age groups.

From April 1st through October 31st, we are open weekdays and Saturdays from 10 am to 5 pm, and Sundays from 11 am to 5 pm. We also provide essential information, manage requests and concerns, help in care planning and discharge planning for each patient. If you have some extra time and energy, Louisa May Alcott is buried in the Alcott family plot at nearby Sleepy Hollow Cemetery in a section called Authors’ Ridge.

Here, Mr. Alcott could also sit and gaze upon a beautiful portrait of his youngest daughter May, who spent her last years in Europe. In 1879, the Concord Summer School of Philosophy, an adult education series created by Mr. Alcott, first met in this room until a larger building adjacent to Orchard House was constructed the next year. A bust of Mr. Alcott in the niche of this room was carved by noted American sculptor Daniel Chester French, who was one of May's early art students. Louisa’s career as an author began at the age of eight with poetry, and later short stories that appeared in popular magazines. A major critical milestone along her literary path was Hospital Sketches (1863), a truthful and poignant account of her service as a Civil War nurse in Washington, DC inspired by the letters she wrote home to her family in Concord.

Many website builders offer a domain name for free for the first year, but after that, you’ll have to pay each year or for multiple years at a time. “One of the best features of website builders is that you can decide how each element behaves according to the screen size. You can create rules for visitors to your site and it gets fairly granular. For example, you can have specific content show for site visitors who are geographically near your business. There’s also a content library that makes it easy for you to import content from a client’s existing website into a new design you’re creating.

Instead, sites on the free plan use a Weebly subdomain, such as yoursitename.weebly.com. While the $10 per month (billed annually) Personal plan allows users to connect a custom domain, it displays Weebly ads, so it is unsuitable for business use. In fact, it took me a while to realize the button I needed to press to get to the website editor was in the top right corner, which didn’t feel intuitive to me. But to be fair, I had previous experience and my expectations were wrong. I can see why IONOS gets a grab bag of excellent, fair and poor reviews from customers. I contacted support via live chat to find out why I couldn’t sign up for an account, but the agent I spoke with was of no help; they gave me a phone number and told me to call support instead. And though no one was able to fix the issue I had, support was prompt, at least. Williams, 22, has shown an uncanny ability to not only elevate his game, no matter the circumstances, but also the players around him, too. Even when Gonzaga faced a third-and-33, and Williams had to play the final minute of the game with an injured foot, he didn't waver. Instead, Jamison said, Williams was frequently heard saying, "C'mon, Caleb," after a bad play or refocusing by dribbling the football like a basketball off the turf. Trivers never promised Williams the starting gig if he came to Gonzaga, but the 10-year coach of the Eagles did promise Williams would receive a fair opportunity to compete for it.

When traveling to your cruise boarding site, you may hit delays on the way. If you miss your cruise departure due to a reason that is covered by your cruise insurance policy, your plan may reimburse you for expenses related to rejoining the ship. Travel insurance cost is primarily based on the price of the trip and the age of the traveler. A 35-year-old might expect a policy to add 3% to 5% to the cost of a trip while a 60-year-old might pay around 10%, says Jonathan Harty, owner of a MA-based travel agency. It can be a small price to pay to safeguard your investment in a honeymoon or the trip of a lifetime. To make matter worse, DOT doesn’t define when baggage is officially lost (as opposed to just “delayed”). For delayed bags, DOT only requires airlines to provide victims with enough money to buy necessities like clothing, medicine and toiletries. You can protect your travel investment with Nationwide for as low as $59 annually.

Cruise insurance can cover many situations, but you need to shop around to find the best coverage.

They just need you to cancel within the specified time frame, typically at least 48 to 72 hours before you depart. Travel insurance can help cover expenses stemming from lost or stolen luggage. This is especially useful if an airline loses your bags, as it can be very difficult to get them to pay for lost luggage. In the United States, the Department of Transportation (DOT) requires airlines to compensate fliers up to $3,300 for lost baggage.

Trip interruption insurance can also pay for the extra expenses of a trip interruption, such as a one-way plane ticket home on short notice. If the dates of your trip change, your travel insurance company should allow you to change the dates of your policy to match the new travel dates. You can also add items to your itinerary later—such as shore excursions—and then add them to your travel insurance coverage.

The Essential plan also sees significant drops in the monetary reimbursement you can expect when things go awry. Despite being only 38% cheaper than the Prime plan, coverage is significantly stripped down. You can especially see this with baggage delay ($100 versus $600), lost baggage ($600 versus $2,000) and trip delay ($600 versus $2,000). Trip cancellation is basically the only coverage area that remains the same — 100% no matter which plan you choose. These included the maximum coverage limits, optional coverages, types of coverage, premiums and what the policies cover. We also considered financial strength ratings from AM Best and Better Business Bureau ratings for customer satisfaction.

When comparing travel insurance companies, you want to make sure your insurance company has the financial backing to pay its claims. If you don't have time to read a company’s annual report, take a look at the company's ratings from independent rating agencies like A.M. This option costs extra and will cover 75% of non-refundable trip costs, provided you purchase it within 21 days of your initial trip payment and meet other specific requirements. In the travel insurance marketplaces, InsureMyTrip.com gives Nationwide an average score of 4.5 stars (out of five) for their cruise travel insurance and single trip travel insurance products. At Squaremouth.com, Nationwide has earned a rating of 4.04 out of five stars, and has sold over 5,783 policies since January 2018. This plan includes $35,000 in rental car damage coverage (where it's valid) due to collision, theft or a natural disaster.

Celestyal Journey Cruise Ship Review

We’re the number one choice for travellers to the Greek Islands and Mediterranean – a fact we love to share. Secure your sailing with a deposit, then no need to pay until 60 days before your departure. Victoria and Peltz appear to have mended their relationship, as they have posted sweet messages about each other on social media numerous times since. However, Peltz denied she had any beef with the former pop star and explained that she could not wear a dress by Victoria’s eponymous brand due to timing issues. Notably absent from the momentous occasion was Brooklyn’s wife, Nicola Peltz, who instead spent time with her grandmother. Tom Cruise brought down the house at Victoria Beckham’s star-studded 50th birthday party.

These sailings are unique, because rather than operating one cruise at a time, the round-trip sailings overlap, meaning guests embark and debark from various cruise ports while other sailings are still ongoing. For these cruises, guests are able to meet the ship in Kusadasi, Turkey; Heraklion, Crete Greece; Piraeus-Athens, Greece; or Thessaloniki, Greece. Our ships are medium sized which means they can visit ports that larger vessels cannot access, allowing us to offer unique smaller and almost undiscovered destinations in our itineraries. Onboard, our guests get to enjoy a more cosy, homely atmosphere and a less crowded affair and therefore the highest standards of customer care, comfort and personalized service. But to enjoy a cruise on Celestyal Crystal you'll need to be OK with sailing on a bare-bones ship.

Suites also have a refrigerated minibar and an additional seating area. Celestyal Journey, which entered service in 1994 and was acquired by Celestyal Cruises in 2023, will have many chances to redeem herself. She will call on Kusadasi many more times as she continues to offer 7-Night cruises in the Aegean Sea region until late October 2024. Passengers mainly hail from the U.S., Canada, and other parts of Europe, including Germany and Italy and a smattering from the UK. In the summer months, the ship sees a large number of passengers from North America -- particularly families with teenage kids and groups of young students. Greek-owned line Celestyal Cruises purchased the 1,260-passenger vessel Celestyal Journey, to replace the oldest ship in its fleet, Celestyal Crystal, from September 2023.

I opted to explore Santorini and Mykonos on my own, taking in the beautiful views (of the former) and lively shops and nightlife (of the latter). There’s an impressive seven bars on board, each with unique décor, though still keeping with the 1920s vibe. Choose from a quiet coffee bar, the Blue piano Bar and Lounge, or head to the Fizz Club if you’re a lover of cocktails and champagne. The Grapevine has an impressive selection of wine choices for the connoisseurs among you.

The MS Sapphire was sold for scrap in May 2012, and the SS The Emerald was sold for scrap in August 2012, along with The Calypso late 2012, all three ships were laid up for two years due to SOLAS 2010. In 2010 Louis Cruises became a five ship fleet due to having laying up the SS The Emerald & MS Sapphire due to the SOLAS 2010 and the selling of the MV Aquamarine in order to renew the fleet. Thank you for requesting a quote about the amazing cruises we have on offer at Celestyal Cruises.

Royal Olympic was already in difficulties by the time Louis became involved with the company, and the 11 September 2001 attacks dealt a further blow, finally leading to the collapse of Royal Olympic in 2004. Once the ship arrives at its new homeport, it will offer 7-night, round-trip, sailings to Khalifa Bin Salman, Bahrain; Dubai, United Arab Emirates; Sir Bani Yas, United Arab Emirates; and Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The Celestyal Journey holds true to what we know works well for our guests. The cruise line's emphasis on the destination and its budget-friendly price tag make it an excellent value, even more so when you see its nearly all-inclusive. The fare includes select shore excursions, most alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages, and gratuities. We signed up for The Greek Table on our second evening of the cruise, the day at sea.

Wi-Fi is available as an add-on to your booking, and the Celestyal Journey has conference facilities for those that need to entertain in style. Whatever your choice of drink, our 8 new bars offer a diverse selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Grab a beer and catch one of our dazzling daily shows in the  ΘEATRO, soak up the electric atmosphere of the Ble Bar and Lounge, or head down to our Martini Bar and enjoy one of our exclusive Signature Cocktails. Thankfully, the crash only caused minimal damage to the ship and to the pier. The last time a ship crashed in a cruise port, which occurred in Baltimore on March 26, 2024, it resulted in significant damage and loss of life – so Celestyal Cruises is lucky this collision was minor, as it could have been much worse.

At 226 square feet, my category B Junior Dream suite on Deck 9 was more than comfortable. Celestyal caters to people of all ages traveling from a wide variety of countries, including the US, Eastern and Central Europe, Australia, and Argentina. In September 2014, Louis Cruises rebranded itself as Celestyal Cruises.[20][21] It is a subsidiary of Louis plc, founded in 1935 as the first travel agency in Cyprus. From the elaborate monument of Athens to the clifftop village of Oia and the charming medieval city of Rhodes, Greece and the Greek Island cruise Vacations of any length leave you dreaming of your next visit.

If you don’t get stickers for your excursion delivered to your stateroom the night before, go to the excursions desk as soon as possible to see what’s amiss. Additionally, the way that Celestyal Cruises divides tour groups and designates buses in the morning is through stickers. There were two occasions when we didn’t receive stickers in our stateroom the evening before. Though we didn’t interact with them much like we did on Celebrity Cruises, where the Cruise Director engages in many activities with the guests throughout the day, we met Teresa, the Cruise Director, who was friendly and upbeat.

From a blissful night’s sleep, to daytime grazing in Fig & Honey, or moonlit dishes at Thalassa — we invite you to feast like the ancients in our decadent new restaurants and enjoy more choice than ever. Get the full star private dining experience at our new, exclusive Chef’s Table, or wander further afield to Pink Moon, our exquisite Asian-inspired restaurant. Find fresh Mediterranean bites at our new Smoked Olive restaurant or go big with grilled everything at Grill Seekers. We look forward to sailing with Celestyal Cruises again because we loved the Greek identity of the cruise line and their truly impressive itineraries and ports.

All Dream Suite guests have access to The Beach Club, a secluded and tranquil outdoor space, with ice cream stations and juice corners. Guests booked in Grand Dream Suites also have access to Celestyal’s Concierge Service which features a dedicated priority check-in counter, expedited embarkation and express luggage delivery service including assistance with unpacking. A dedicated Celestyal Concierge will be available in the exclusive-use Compass Lounge to assist Grand Suite guests with tailored service requests.

This includes daytime and evening entertainment, including music in the lounge and the main evening show. If you don’t have the premium package, the waiters and waitresses in the restaurants and bars continuously try to upgrade you to the highest package. So much so that we wondered if they make a commission on each drinks package upgrade. Sports enthusiasts will love the morning yoga or Pilates classes (extra charge), and from 8 p.m. As well as the aforementioned bars featuring piano or live music, there’s mini-discos for young kids up to 12 years old, seventies-themed parties, and various adult discos.

Slide into the Blue Bar & Lounge, where mellow piano tunes and laid-back lounging will take you to new levels of go-with-the-flow. Or pick up the pace in our new Fizz Club, where Signature Cocktails and fresh ingredients plucked straight from the islands will have you all aflutter. And with spellbinding and spectacular shows and entertainment to see you through the evening, there’s plenty to see you into the early hours. Our lavish new spa offers guests the opportunity to spend the day doing what they love most. With bigger and better facilities, exercise lovers have everything they need to start their day right. There were also no injuries reported by guests and crew onboard or from onlookers on the shore, which meant passengers were still able to enjoy their port day as planned.
